Jeff Humphreys bio

It's strange…music has so much power for some, while others don't need it. Memories are created from different events but memories with music seem to be etched in ones mind for years. Whether it's a track from a movie, a favorite CD on a road trip, a wedding song or a night out at the club, music intensifies the memory,

Over the past 4 years music has become an even larger part in my daily life. I've gone from a dancing, singing fool at the clubs to a dancing, DJing fool now. It's interesting to look back and see how and why everything happens. If I had not worked at the Embassy for years before I started DJing none of this would be possible. If I had not moved to Toronto, this site would not be alive and kicking. You can plan for part of life but sometimes you can't. Sitting back a little while still strolling down the right path can lead to some good things. A little flaky, but a little true as well.

DJing has made 2 things very apparent in my life.

1) Dancing and watching people dance is must for the soul.
2) Music is a spiratual high.

Whether it's in your house, in your car or in your earphones…we all play music for various reasons. I've been given the chance to get people hooked on the music that I care about so deeply. There is not a better high than watching people get down to your favorite track on some crazy dance floor. The Embassy and the people that worked there will never be forgotten. Each gig can not compare to those Saturday nights.

Two people are responsible for getting me hooked on house. Rice and Bosco! Each has been instrumental from day 1. From educating me about the music, teaching me the skills and always laying down a serious vibe. Learning from 2 of the best makes this path all the more smoother.
